How to Automatically Add Live Chats to CRM, HelpDesk, etc.

While we don't have a direct integration with any CRM systems currently, it is possible to automatically add chats directly to your CRM. This article walks through how the functionality works, and your Client Success Manager at HelpFlow can help you get it setup.

We Send Our Chats via Email

When we complete a chat that has to be referred to you, we send it via email. You can see an example below. 

Pay close attention to the unique formatting of firstname: ... lastname: ... etc. That is used in a later step. 

An Email "Parser" Can Receive All The Info

A "parser" is designed to grab specific information from a chat so that info can be used. For example, in the above the parser could be setup to grab anything after "firstname", "lastname", etc. 

In short, if there is a pattern to the text then a parser can grab the patterned information for separate use. 

We will work with you to setup an  Zapier.com's email parser. By getting the data above parsed into Zapier, we open the door to automatically adding that data into the 1000s of tools that Zapier integrates with.

Send The Info to CRM, HelpDesk, etc. 

Once the data is in Zapier, it can be used to send the data into your CRM, your HelpDesk, etc.

Is There An Additional Cost?

There is not a additional service fee to HelpFlow for using this service, but there are Zapier.com costs for using this service. If you already have a Zapier.com account with sufficient "credits" (i.e. typically the $25-$50/month Zapier account), then this can be configured within your account at no additional cost. If you do not have a Zapier.com account with sufficient credits, this can be setup through HelpFlow's Zapier infrastructure at a cost of $25/month (i.e. this covers the cost of the credits used within the HelpFlow account).
